House of Cubes

It owes its name to the “measures of capacity, the bushel and the almud” used in the trading of agricultural products and, in the past, it was used by religious orders as a place to store and count agricultural products.

The date of construction of House of Cubes is uncertain, but over time it has been rebuilt and had several roles: it was an Environmental Monitoring and Interpretation Center, a place for temporary exhibitions and, more recently, in 2018, it is as a Study Center of Photography in Tomar, under the management of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar.
